I have two, the other one being taller, and not warped like this one. Thinking I may either cut out the warped one, or go without. Between my headers and "custom" trans lines, a stock unit needs to be bowed some to get it in place. Maybe I could fit a piece of plexiglass and watch the goodies turn round and round.

Yea, and the plexiglass one wouldn't put up as much resistance when the bolt heads hit it the next time. Given the options, I think I would just leave it off.

Andy sold a nice powder coated shield at one time... at least I think I got from him, don't see it on his site anymore though...

well you do know that is the wrong dust shied , correct.
I did not. I have two, one that was on the 727 that came out, and one on the 727 I had rebuilt. Don't recall which I used. What does the one I need look like?

Clearance Clarence I had to remove mine because of under hard acceleration, it would touch the oversized converter bolts and make noise. I havent gotten around to addressing it yet.

I ran my 72 D200 without one for many years, no issues. My 68 Dart doesn't have one either.

Cab, from the pic, it appears I may have the smaller converter. ATi Streetmaster is what I remember. Even with the wrong shield, it worked fine until I removed it again and flexed it to reinstall around. the trans lines. Ray Barton said this was the converter I needed, but he never saw the trans or shield.
