I’m using some clear tubing that is reinforced with what looks like white nylon strands around it. I can’t think of what it’s called. I’ve tried several different types of tubing and most of them would at least partially suck shut. Clear tubing with no reinforcement would suck completely shut. So did rubber heater hose.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I use thick clear hose from lowes. . I like to see what's going on. Thanks for posting the pictures. That’s the tubing I use and was talking about. Much better to see a picture of it.

Clear tubing from Loews as well. Completely clear so I can see what's coming out. It gets stained so I replace it regularly. Pretty tough. Never had it collapse.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
