Appears that we need to replace the Hedmans on the Charger. What's the story on headers these days? I always favored Hookers but seems I recall reading their quality and fit had gone down. Tim

Tim I really like my Doug's headers . They have been on the car for about 6 years now and they are a little dull on a few pipes but zero leaks and they fit perfect. Gus

Thanks, Gus. May give them a shot. I can't believe it's been over 30 yrs. since I last bought a new set of headers. Bought Hooker SC's for my '69 RR in '86 and another set for my '67 R/T around '88. Fit was perfect back then. Tim

I know the Dynomax headers did NOT fit with PS. Since they bought out Flotech headers back around 2001, I think they switched over to their designs. The old Dynomax headers for the Mopar big blocks were a no-fit with PS.

I don't think Gus has PS. The Charger doesn't either so it's not an issue for me. Info at Jeg's says everything works with them except column shift on the 1 3/4" tubes (requires mini-starter) but everything works on 2" tubes on B-bodies. 2" on E-bodies won't work with column shift. Starter not mentioned. It is a street car mainly. Tim

I probably should have gone with the D451 but I was doing a lot more racing when I built the last engine so I went with the D452's . The 2" tubes required me to trim some off the scatter shield to make them fit. A stock bell or an automatic would be an easy fit. And yes no power steering but as tight as the #1 and #3 tubes fit to the block I don't see any issues with PS. Gus

The only thing that kept me from buying Doug's was that for a B engine, the 1 3/4 is the biggest they offer. No 1 7/8 and the 2" are for RB. Do they fit a low deck?
