Just an FYI: we have had issues with the one sided self stick gaskets that a lot of parts stores are selling. They start leaking after install. Another source is to make sure the hose surface on the housing and ID are both clean. I have had more than one hose leak make me think it was the gasket. Lastly a good idea to retighten the clamps (worm gear) every so often until they take a "set" . beer

I bought the eBay one and it seals great. I used a gasket that the holes were oval and too big on this last build and it leaked through one of the holes because the gasket slid to one side when I torqued it in place. Bought a fuel pro blue and no problems.

I like this solution . . .not to worried about non OE look . . .rather have the performance as I like to drive my car . . .

http://www.terrysautolab.com/

Haven't had single leak ! Small block, or big block . . . well worth the $$$

Cheers,

If it's one of the chrome ones a lot of them are junk and leak. If you continue to have a problem get the grey permatex it'll seal it.

The problem with the chrome ones is that they look good but are made in China out of recycled materials that change shape when hot...
And they fail to seal right, have changed out a few chrome ones....

Just my $0.02... wink

Tape 400 - 600 sandpaper to a piece of metal that is dead flat.

Put ink on the housing sealing surface and gently sand it in a x pattern until the ink is gone to assure it's flat.

Use the Permatex gasket sealer specifically designated for water pumps and such.

iagree

Lap it up and you'll probably find it's not flat. I've found that you may have to do it a couple times, until it stops warping.

The number on the gasket in the picture is 35286t. Helps to enlarge it.

Granite surface plate (love mine), piece of granite countertop, flat glass or tile, anything like that can be used as long as it is dead flat.

Figure-8 pattern works well too.
