Hi guys I had a question I have a narrow 8 3/4

The problem I’m having is the outside U bolt are on the flange they are close to the Leaf spring perches The standard U bolt do not go around The axle housing because the flange end has a larger outside diameter
Has anybody came across this

By the way the leaf springs have been moved in. To compensate For the inboard kit

Also not allowing the U bolt To go into the Shock plate

Someone recently posted a picture of a perch mount design that has studs in it and the leaf spring brackets bolt directly to it without having to use U-bolts. I suspect that may solve your issue.

Grab 2 larger U bolts that fit the housing end diameter. Oval the outer holes in the lower shock mount plate to accept the wider U bolt. If the perches aren't welded on because they don't fit up to the housing, open up the outer radius on the perch until it sets square..

That’s what I was thinking
I didn’t know how common this was Or if there was another fix

Ladder bars with coil overs is the better fix whistling grin
AKA aside that is not uncommon on narrowing Mopar rear ends, 8 3/4 and Dana 60 with leaf springs with small back spacing wheels whiney shruggy

If you are not done, ie you can still modify it, there were some narrower ends used on certain rear ends, they were about 1/2 the width of normal ones. I built my last 60 with a pair of them. If I remember, they were on early 70's B-vans, I may have a couple more sets if you can still modify. Some of the aftermarket ends were narrower, also, other wise its one of the options listed above.
