Couple questions, do you need push rod oiling when going to these?

Did you gain any HP by going to them?

The ones I have used have a spray bar built into the bed plate. They spray UP under the rockers and use feed lines. They were mainly designed to increase the RPM capability.

Mine are push rod oiled. At least I thought that they were until I read the spray bar comment. Looks like a spray bar right down the middle?

The intake and exhaust geometry can be adjusted separately.

Mine are push-rod oiled - you can go both ways with them - T&D has a new design for the edelbrock Vic Jr head that oils through the block - pretty neat design. They are a very stable rocker arm system - well worth the money!

How come I do not see the spray bar in yours?

And what ratio's are you guys using?

See the groove under the intake rockers? Thats where the spray bar was on the ones I used. They must give you a choice of oiling style now.

Because they are push rod oiled - Mega block with bushed lifter bores, crower roller lifters and trend pushrods - I have seen other builds with both spray bars and pushrod oiling - but that seems to me like way too much oil going up top - my rockers are 1.6 ratio

I looked at all of the rocker systems available - and for the small upcharge to Barton - it made sense - if the new T&D system for the Eddie Victors was available when the engine was built - I would have gone with those

I decided to pushrod oil with my Barton’s as well. I had Best Machine bush the lifter bores and bought their lifter package to avoid any issues.

where the rocker sweep angle differs from the valve stem angle -


The angles are the same the rocker bed plate is angled at the trunnion - the pattern on these rockers is very tight and centered

Starting angle is the same but don't remain so because of diverging centerlines?

I have seen similar, but more exagerated, set ups on wedge heads with steel rockers. Rather than run an offset rocker arm, they run a straight arm that is angled so the centerline of the arm is colinear with the valve tip centre to the pushrod tip centre.
When I asked, no one seemed to notice any adverse effects

I've learned nothing from similar past experiments.
My remarks appear to invite naught but objections.

This is the point, historically, where some cynic suggests that I deleted the content because I was wrong. Let's just take that "as read", shall we?

ive had them on my hemi since 2003 close to 10,000 miles and 300 passes , no problems, best investment for a hemi , mine are spray bar oiled, 245 lbs 600 open pressure still have the same pushrods and rockers on my 1400 hp procharged hemi
