Call and ask if they drilled the head deck holes into the water jackets...

I had a World Block, not aluminum mind you, and they were drilled into the water jacket and there is no reason to...What a mess. Called them, and they are worse than Indy for customer service. No thanks, never again. Oooh wait, it says they aren't drilled thru on the internet....

Every after market block has issues. Some are easy fixes, some are not. Customer service then comes into play, and they are horrible.

Bill Mitchell customer service blows.

Have a iron world wedge block with paper thin cracks in webbing above mains on drivers side.

I contacted Bill Mitchell and was told they have NEVER had a casting flaw / blem issue. And if there was a bad block it would have been scraped.

I ground out paper thin webbing until I found solid material. Still it was only .040ish thick.

Now I have 3 quarter size windows on drivers side above mains.

Looks like a LS block with bay to bay breathing!!

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....

I have been running one for 7 years. Never had any problems with it. It has been freshened twice. Bearings look like brand new when I take it apart. 4.150 crank and 4.440 bore the last time. Runs 9.60's 140mph. I had to hone the lifter bores when I got it and bore the cylinders to correct size, everything else was OK to run.

Any quality problems on blocks delivered in 2020? Considering of getting one for the future build, since these should be available right now, who knows if there is any aftermarket blocks available in a couple years from now..

I have an old world block that I’m building a 572 out of.
It needed lots of machining work to make right.
Would of had in the car this year but bam, COVID takes over.
Hope to finish it this winter.
It will be a bracket motor for my Charger.
At the power level it should make, probably a high 9.70’s to low 9.80’s car on kill.
Since cage is only good to 10.0, will tune down so it runs 10.0’s to 10.teens.

Hope once it is together it holds up well.
Will be nice to get that weight off the nose too being an aluminum block.

1971 Plum Crazy Super Bee. 572 World Aluminum block with a Cope 727 & Dana 4.10 out back. 9.88 @ 138 with a 1.35 60 NA. Dialed back to 10.0’s. 4000 lbs with me in it.
