All large family lockup input shafts and stator supports share the same spline counts and diameters so even the diesel and V-10 can be swapped, not sure you would want to though.
The diesel and V-10 use 12-3/4” converters - the stall speeds differ drastically between the two.
And while I have never tried - I think the 12-3/4” converter may not fit the regular bellhousing.

That is why you can't swap a diesel or V10 converter. They don't fit the bell housing and even if you could get it in there it would still stick out about an inch. The flex plate bolt pattern is different as well.

And my response was directed at feets. While you can modify anything to fit just about anything, that isn't what is implied by "interchange". That would be a direct swap, not a machining and fabrication process. Thank you for the insight.

We have plenty of construction zones here as well but where you have 3 days of summer (July 3rd, 4th, and 5th) we have 3 days of winter, usually in January but the days vary year to year.

The converters changed in 96 when the RE trans was phased in. The flex plate pattern is symmetrical as opposed to the RH which is the normal one way only.
