62 crown OP member 6 Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 34 Concord Twp. Ohio	Hi guys, I just replaced an automatic transmission in an 08 caliber with a 2.0 engine. Everything went well, except the thing is in limp mode, and won't accelerate. It goes forward and backwards, basically at idle speed regardless if you put the pedal to the floor or not...I've read that it may need to be reprogrammed now. Is there a fix without taking it to the dealership ?? Known problem with wiring harness. wiring had rubbed on left frame rail where plastic splash guard covers the end of the transmission, repaired transmission worked perfectly - before repair you would swear it was burnt up 548 cu. in., Bill Mitchell Aluminum Block, CRT 727 auto trans, Alston Chassis. 8.981et at 149.46 mph. 1.204et - 60 foot, So Far....

"Follow me the wise man said, but he walked behind" '92 D250 Club Cab CTD, 47RH conversion, pump tweaks, injectors, rear disc and hydroboost conversion. '74 W200 Crew Cab 360, NV4500, D44, D60 and NP205 divorced transfer case. Rear disc and hydroboost conversion. 2019 1500 Long Horn Crew Cab 4WD, 5.7 Hemi.

mod381 enthusiast M Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 327 wisconsin	The transmission and the tcm need to be calibrated for each other. You will have to take it to the dealer and have it programmed.
