Ah....It's probably going to be 426 Gen III. Which is really awesome, considering we were at 440CI with some pre-production Apache heads back in 2010

Re-release of Gen II Hemi block and crate engines? Lots of people waiting for them! Ever heard of the Gen III Hemi refered to as an "Elephant Motor "?

Re-release of Gen II Hemi block and crate engines? My fingers are crossed. They do have a machining facility lined up out in Fowlerville MI. No reports on the facility's quality or volume capability yet. I may not be able to find that kind of stuff out anymore but will not stop digging. Ever heard of the Gen III Hemi refered to as an "Elephant Motor "? It's a shame but the folks in charge these days don't seem to give a rat's heiney about anything much older than 2010. I wouldn't really expect any of 'em to have a clue about 1960s magazine slang but maybe JR Thompson (decades long marketing company) is really on the ball these days and pushing them towards what they should be doing. When questioned about the total lack of intake manifolds, ignition controllers and so on, a recent response from someone up the ladder was "How old are the vehicles these products are used on? Do you own a computer? Do you still use a rotary telephone?" Sorry if my attitude is bad LOL. I'll keep the faith and fly the flag regardless but haven't heard anything confidence inspiring lately.

Do you own a computer? Do you still use a rotary telephone?" My response to that would have been, “what vehicles do you think people buying these crate motors are putting them in”? Seems like a little disconnect there. Frankly, I’d be totally shocked if the big announcement had anything to do with a gen2.

It sends a message. Somebody must have decided you make more money from licensing.

I vote for a gen II block with a radically raised cam and GenIII type heads enlarged to match, capable of 600 cubes😀 I like your thinking but we might as well go 5.3 bore spacing as well for 800 cubes

I heard they are releasing another run of Super Stock Springs. Buy a set and get a free pinion snubber and a cd on setting pinion angles.

It's DEFINATELY Elephant related, at that means only one thing in the Mopar world.

Mine's some sorta tape..but not VHS; *thinks a bit* It's BetaMax! Misled again! *sigh* _________________________________ Joking aside, I might be tempted by a Gen 3 crate at 426 CI. It would have to tick all right boxes for me, and that doesn't seem likely.

I guess whatever it is, the symbolism of it stepping on the Hellcat paw prints alludes to it being the new "king of the jungle".
