Ah....It's probably going to be 426 Gen III.

Which is really awesome, considering we were at 440CI with some pre-production Apache heads back in 2010 laugh

Re-release of Gen II Hemi block and crate engines? Lots of people waiting for them! Ever heard of the Gen III Hemi refered to as an "Elephant Motor "?

I vote for a gen II block with a radically raised cam and GenIII type heads enlarged to match, capable of 600 cubes😀

Look at that front fender ends and doors.I vote a certain rendition of the 69' Charger body with a 426 Get III engine.

This is the Apex boys and girls.

My fingers are crossed. They do have a machining facility lined up out in Fowlerville MI. No reports on the facility's quality or volume capability yet. I may not be able to find that kind of stuff out anymore but will not stop digging.

It's a shame but the folks in charge these days don't seem to give a rat's heiney about anything much older than 2010. I wouldn't really expect any of 'em to have a clue about 1960s magazine slang but maybe JR Thompson (decades long marketing company) is really on the ball these days and pushing them towards what they should be doing.

When questioned about the total lack of intake manifolds, ignition controllers and so on, a recent response from someone up the ladder was "How old are the vehicles these products are used on? Do you own a computer? Do you still use a rotary telephone?"

Sorry if my attitude is bad LOL. I'll keep the faith and fly the flag regardless but haven't heard anything confidence inspiring lately.

My response to that would have been, “what vehicles do you think people buying these crate motors are putting them in”?

Seems like a little disconnect there.

Frankly, I’d be totally shocked if the big announcement had anything to do with a gen2.

Notice how they licensed Proform, and then killed the distributors, too. It sends a message. Somebody must have decided you make more money from licensing.

I like your thinking but we might as well go 5.3 bore spacing as well for 800 cubes

I hope they include the shock extensions also - my air shocks work better with them!

It is the next logical step:

Grumman F4F Wildcat
Grumman F6F Hellcat
Grumman F7F Tigercat
Grumman F8F Bearcat*
Grumman F9F Cougar
Grumman F11F Tiger
Grumman F14 Tomcat

*Baddest single engine piston driven ever built but never saw action because - Saber jets

But "Bear" anything has nothing to do with the paw prints in the vid.
It's DEFINATELY Elephant related, at that means only one thing in the Mopar world.

I think that is a bear print sunken into a sunken in elephant print.

Big inch (426) supercharged Gen III is my guess, labeled Bearcat.

Like it or not Hellcat is now part of the Mopar legend.

Can anyone answer if it was Grumman that Ma Mopar colluded with on the 500/Daytona/Superbird aero cars? At least for the wind tunnel stuff?

Joking aside, I might be tempted by a Gen 3 crate at 426 CI. It would have to tick all right boxes for me, and that doesn't seem likely.

I guess whatever it is, the symbolism of it stepping on the Hellcat paw prints alludes to it being the new "king of the jungle".
