That PN# Dennis listed is for a small block, the OP has a 400 B engine. the correct PN# from Jegs is: part Number: 555-40504K which includes ballast resistor, electronic distributor, ecu, and harness...for $223.86 & free shipping.

Just get a reman point dist and get a pertonix conversion kit you will even have vac advance easiest, cheapest, best answer. I have to agree with this as well. There is also a one wire HEI type distributor out there, if that trips the trigger...

If you go this route make sure you get the 383/400 kit, not the 440 kit as the RB distributor will not fit a B block. the shaft is too tall.

Both the Charger and the Charger s/e are both B bodies in 76, but had different sheet metal from one to the other.

Both the Charger and the Charger s/e are both B bodies in 76, but had different sheet metal from one to the other. True the standard Charger looks like the Dodge Coronet/Plymouth Fury of the era where the SE shares Cordoba sheetmetal.
