the only reason I'm thinking about changing is my W5 leak a little bit of water in one cylinder every once in awhile if I could seal them up I would stay with them any suggestions . I think the Victor would be worth quite a bit of horsepower over the W 5s in the right hands.. like all heads they have some things you would change but they definitely can move a ton of air... I have seen Flow numbers in the 390 range.. on a set of Victors that Brett Miller did and we're flowed at QMP in California

I’ve been watching with interest since the intro of these heads into the catalog back in 12. Our W5 mill expired from water injection into the #3 cyl (2nd time). We were going to center our build around our second set of W5’s, but after the “didn’t you learn anything the first time” conversation with our builder, we sold everything W5 and patiently waited for a head that never appeared. I was actually surprised that we completed our W8 build and still no Victors back in 14.
Brett is nearing the end of a build (Victor on Ritter block) that had been completed and ran, but don’t know the details on what happened, but it ended up in his hands. That was the only engine that I’ve heard of that ran with these heads.
I understand that many of these heads go to Aussi... maybe some of those members can chime in.
Like everything Mopar related.... bad timing. If we have blocks, we don’t have heads. If we have heads, we don’t have blocks. There are couple guys who have posted on here running Victors. One guy i think goes by Lawndart, the other guy has like a 68 cuda he runs on a stop with them if i remember right.

The Victor had supposedly flow 3: 35 at 700 right out of the box that's what my W5 flow with a lot of work I used to run W5’s myself. About the stoutest i have seen them run( and i am sure there are better) is right at 140 mph at 3320 ish. That on super stock springs. I know it made 708 when dyno’ed at Best Machine. The ET agrees with that. Thats my old car and motor, but the motor was upgraded, cam/squeeze/ gas porting, etc. from when i had it. I think J went 138 with his I would think the Victors have the potential to make 150 more horse than that, perhaps more. Just a guess.

does anyone have any ideas what I can put in my radiator to seal up the horse W5 heads I used to run just some regular sealer in it and it worked fine for a couple of years now it has started leaking in the number 5 cylinder after it sets a couple days Call Ryan at Shady Dell speed shop

Can't see why it wouldn't work on aluminum. You have to be careful with how much you use as it will plug a rad up solid. Call Ryan at Shady Dell speed shop Unless his plan of attack has changed, he would epoxy it. In our case it came out, and locked the motor up on the return road 150 passes later. Took only 50 passes to figure out the original port work found a thin spot so we tore it down and sent the head back. I could write a novel on this painful experience, but here’s what I’d do. I’d try any sort of sealer. I’d probably try the GM tablets, or the CRC block sealer. Next would be to remove the head and look into any sealer/epoxy that could be flowed into the cooling passages. Btw back then the car wasn’t 9 legal so my dad shifted at 5500 and was running low 10s. On one pass they shifted at 7200 and ran a 9.84 iirc. I think at 136.... Jay

What else besides the heads, rockers, head studs, and likely pushrods.......are required to do the swap?
Pistons still okay?
Headers I think are supposed to fit.
Valve covers?
Intake manifold?

The thing I find odd about the Victors is that while they require special everything they use a standard LA intake.
I kept my Super Victor EFI manifold just in case the money fairy(lottery) allows me to replace my Ported W2s with Victors one day.

Most of the guys appear to be using these on bigger bore aftermarket blocks too so the larger valves and a .030 over 360 block may not play well together.
