340 Dual point Prestolite. The reason I am asking is that it had a black cap on it when I bought the car years ago and I thought I read somewhere that it should be black on 1969 340 cars but now that I am getting it back together, I am having second thoughts that all the 69 Mopar muscle cars had tan ones? I know that all my 383/440/426 Hemi cars in the past had tan ones but I never had a 340 car before now.

What about the plug wires on the same engine? Black or I've also seen orange?

Here is a pic of the factory installed dual point cap and wires on my 69 Dart 340 engine. Very nice. Looks un-restored engine?
