After my removing of the second battery in my dart cos it was 11+ years old, I went w/a 1000 cca single battery and as before my 60 ft suffered from a 1.33 to a 1.40 so, can any other battery w/less cca's be added w/out issues or do I need a duplicate of the other...........

Throw the alternator and big battery in the trash.. and by good shocks.. and welcome to the 1.20 60-foot Club.. I went from a 1.25 ish 60 foot to a 1.19 average.. and now the smart people tell me to move the fuel cell to the front too.. it's all in the shock

As far as going faster with more weight, of course its because its a band aid suspension fix. Some need to move weight to the Front to fix a power problem vs to the rear because of a suspension problem. So you got to run your car just recently, great for you, 5* up here.

Currently I am running the Viking da shock that can be revalved I can't remember if it was the Crusader or the other one. Off the top of my head.. I just came across a set of menscer shocks for the rear. So the Viking shocks will be coming up in the parts for sale area here in the next week or so

Well, when we finally get a good run on our first low deck in my car, I will let you know what a good 60ft is...Best with the 440 based was a 1.329 with my pre Thumper carb.... PS we like the red top 900cca battery's. I use just one in each car...But we do use a full size chevy 1-wire alternator. Also, I spend as much time tuning the front suspension as the rear...This is even more important on a leaf spring car.

No it won't....
Here is the easy way to think of it...I like DA shocks on both ends.
Start loose. Let the front extend, but not return, let the back compress, but not extend....
So on the front start with the loosest extension and tightest compression, and on the back, the opposite....Softest compression, tightest extension.
The only adjustments I tinker with are how fast the front extends and how fast the rear compresses. Usually, the other adjustments at max work. On a fast car, they will end up pretty stiff.

I don't think I have ever seen a true leaf spring car squat under acceleration, 4 links yes But not leaf springs even with Cal Tracs or any of the other traction aids for leaf spring cars All the slow speed videos I've seen of leaf spring cars may have the front rise quicker than the back but the back ends rise along with the front, if they spin they won't rise as much normally
