the gasket is someething I had made up. it's 3/8" thick and 3/4" wide. that crap is expensive though

Looks good! Who made the gasket material and how expensive is it?? Hey that "Tip Of The Day" is good to know as I'll be doing the same thing here soon. Great info....

They ripped you off. Next time, check mcmaster.com. You can buy a 50 foot roll of that exact size of rubber strip for less than $10.00 plus shipping. That's my tip of the day.
yea it kind of looks that way.I bought it through a friend. we got enough for 3 cars.sounds like I paid for them
