tony,i used to use alot of plexi and lexan when i was in the sign buisiness and there were special drill bits that had a long taper to them specialy for drilling plastics,but i cant seem to find a supplier,what do you use? also what are you using for gasket mat.?

well it's only 1/8" thick so I just use a regular bit.

Tony, your car looks very nice I cut my lexan in a sheet metal cutter ( which can cut 2m long sheets). If you want real nice edges, you can sand papper the edges with a long board, like 3M.

Very nice Tony... super clean lookin If you want a nice edge on the lexan after you cut it, sand with a block then hit it with a propane torch, it'll make it clear again

LOL, I dont think I ever worked out on that coast, just lots of years for Chrysler in engineering doing all sorts of testing... and making some show parts/cars

Jamie, its super easy, after sanding to get the edge nice and straight you pass the torch across it just so that it clears up(its slightly melting it) plus it puts a minor radius on both edges... just looks alot nicer and gives it a finished look. Test on a piece of scrap to see how much time you need to spend on it EDIT If you hold the torch square to the edge it will radius both sides at once
