I have a Hancook front tire on my Cuda, 15"x3.5" wheels, its 3800lbs, the tire is a regular radial, steers and handles much better than the MT bias ply it has before these. My car is a street/strip car, mid-10.

I run Hancook or Kumho on my satellite , 185/80R15 . A mate runs a taller MT radial front runner at 3900lbs . No mix and match radial/crossply front to rear

Just make sure they are speed rated, I ran Volkswagen tires on my grudge truck back in the day, I will never do that again..........

I run a M/T 315/60 Drag Radial on the back and M/T ET bias ply front runners and mine handles just fine. Have been running this combo for 3 years.
1.33 60 ft,6.21 at 110.59 in the 1/8, pump gas small block,2950lbs,drag radials,mufflers and driven to track ...

I asked almost the same question on y/b a short while ago. M/T Sportsman pro was suggested a few times.

I use M/T Sportsman fronts that are 28" tall w/ drag radials out back. My car is about 3900 lbs. It handles fine at the track...on the street is where the bias ply fronts suck. They follow ruts real bad. I'd recommend the M/T Sportsman SR radial they have now that is 28" tall. The M/T 6678 http://www.jegs.com/i/Mickey-Thompson/672/6678/10002/-1It's what I'll be getting for the front of mine next. Don't be concerned w/ the speed rating for a street/strip vehicle. That's for sustained speeds, not short bursts like our cars see. There are tons of FAST cars running 165R15 VW tires for years w/ no issues.

Run the Hoosier 28" skinny and the 10.5x30 radial slick in the back on my sled. 3800 without me and over 4000 once I get in. 130 on the top is nice and stable. Look good as well.
1971 Plum Crazy Super Bee. 572 World Aluminum block with a Cope 727 & Dana 4.10 out back. 9.88 @ 138 with a 1.35 60 NA. Dialed back to 10.0’s. 4000 lbs with me in it.
