I need to clean out the inside of stock 440 rocker shaft and driving out the plug in the end seems to be the best solution. Does anyone know the correct size of drive in plug I need before I remove this one for cleaning. It is hard to measure with it still installed.

They may vary in size from year to year and for after market shafts scope
I would drill and tap them for a NPT plug, if possible scope thumbs

I was going to do the same thing on a set of stock small block shafts until I looked up the price on a new set from Summit Racing. I bought new.

Well I had to just knock one out and take a chance I could find one today. It was 5/8" so I'm ok. I could not reuse it. It tears it up.

They are pressurized momentarily when the cam oil holes align with the block oil passages, unless you make the rocker arms oil full time like I do on roller cam motors work thumbs
