Tempest OP mopar Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 595 Nashville, Tennessee	Anyone know if there are any clearance issues with the repro 440 Max Wedge intakes and the tall Mopar Performance cast valve covers?

dvw master Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,833 MI, usa	I know if you radius the bottom of the carb mounting bases (1/2" radius below the outer carb stud) that the cast Indy covers will come off with a stock Max Wedge intake. Doug

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,157 Bend,OR USA	Which Mopar brand valve covers, the chrome steel or the cast aluminum ones The chrome steel work fine Maybe the cast aluminum ones also, I can't remember if I ever used them on any of my stock M.W. cross ram motors now Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

AndyF I Win A Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 31,018 Oregon	Yes there is a problem. You'll have to grind or machine the bottom the intake a little bit. Look at the Max Wedge article in the tech archives, I think I had a picture in there that shows the issue.
