Dont you drive a lot on the street.. if so I wouldnt run a full time vac pump... look into a electric one from GM trucks.. that way you can turn it off on the street.... JMO.. I'm going to look into a elec one myself... granted they dont pull as much vac but anything greater than zero pressure is a help.. unless you built it with low tension rings EDIT Oh.. forgot to say... both U will have botom... I welded this up for a big CI race engine that they had problems with.. we did this testing on the dyno first then on the track... worked out great

Did some research on vac pumps a couple yrs ago. The GZ pump seemed the best for the money. I used the electric pump for awhile . it only pulled 2" of vac. As Mike said, better than nothing.

Looking into crankcase vacuum pumps and one that will mount on the water pump housing on a 426 hemi. I see where aerospace engineering makes one. What do you have? Pictures?
Thanks Scott Moroso do an adapter that mounts to the stock water pump housing See thread https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbt...mp-systems.htmlHope this helps

Buddy of mine uses an electric pump for a GM S10 $125 New at Rock Auto on his 900HP 565" Bullet.....works perfectly and pulls a lot more than 2" of vac...??? Rickster

I've been looking into running a vacuum pump on my 572 Hemi. On a hard pass it seems to build up crankcase pressure.
After talking to Clay Kossuth he recommended a late 90's GM electric vacuum pump. He said it's what they run on his wife Rosie's NSS car.
I need to run by their place and see how they set it up on the car. I'm planning on taking some pics of the setup and getting a parts list of what I'll need.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
