Would swapping a set of 1969 X heads onto my stock (other than Edelbrock intake) 79 LRE 360 be worth it? From an old Hot Rod article it looks like the X's flowed ~221 @ .500 and the stock 79 360 heads did ~192 @ .500. Figured with the higher flow and larger valves it'd wake it up a bit. Would pair them with a nice street cam.

Worth it? That's up to you. Doubt you'd ever feel the difference.

On a stock motor the bigger valves might even kill some low end.

Not onlky on a stock type engine. I tried going to a 2.02 set over my 1.88 heads on my mid t low 11 second Duster. Lost sixty foot but gained on top so it about equaled out. More consistent with the smaller valve head. Know dirt tracers that use the small valve head for more torque out of the turns.
Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks.
But: Don't fix it, if it Works!
