416 rpm's may hit a lil in the 8000. Which is the better rod ? I'm sorry I meant to ask between Manley or Scat rods

I bought 4 sets of Eagle H-beams about a year after they came out... all my engines run 8000+ rpm.. been in there for 5 years or better... about 250 passes a year(varies some)... still holding strong.. but I dont know the quality now days... 3 sets were chevy.. 1 was mopar EDIT I should have said all my race engines.. I only turn my 416 to 7200 right now

When in the world do you make 250 passes a year... Lol Back when I was racing... averaged between 225 and 270 a year.. a lot of it was at our local dump tracks

I don't see a W5 head supporting 8000 rpm..... feel free to prove me wrong. l So do you think this scats are good enough?

I went with Molnar on my W8 deal..... I just knew you had been working on a W5 project and it seems the rpm deal is a bit high. Like I said... maybe I don't know what the H I'm talking about. We only pushed about 6800rpm on our W5 deal. How much Cam and compression on That w5 mill ?

13.5 to 1 compression. 340 filled block, 4" stroke. Cam was a comp .658 lift, duration at .050 = 275I 282E. Heads were cnc ported with that group buy that was here through SDSS. Gave us a best of 9.87 @ 137. Car wasn't legal so my dad was shifting at 6200 and running 10ohs. We turned it up a couple of times and pull it would! Lol that's bada$$
