To get a quality belt with pentastar, it was suggested here that maybe you could convince a dealer parts desk guy to find an OEM V-belt that is the correct size. The belts might need to be measured if no size chart exists. If the dealer still has V-belts, maybe they are later applications like Jeep and can't be identified by the 1960s-70s muscle car part numbers. How to measure belts link

Ah yes, the good ol' Quanta stretching stories. I had my share of those woes. My alternator belt came off which got between the pulley and made the power steering belt come off. Its a shame they didn't fix the issue. Just another crappy repro part out there that no one decided to fix and take our hard earned money. I run Gates now if I can find them. Originality is nice, but then again, having a car stay driving on the road is nicer !
