Why couldn't it be from a Challenger? Also, an 18 spline wouldn't be in a Barracuda. Bob

Very interesting...I guess I now have two 4 speed transmissions from 1970 Cuda's. Thanks for the info guys. I bought this transmission many many years ago and it was attached to this 11" bell housing which I assume is for 1968? The transmission has worked flawlessly for many years in my 440 powered street/strip 1973 Challenger and now will probably find it's way into my 1971 R/T Challenger. Barry or anyone else if you can find the original car it came from it obviously would be for sale, otherwise I'll keep it.

Why couldn't it be from a Challenger? Because it isn't. Also, an 18 spline wouldn't be in a Barracuda.
If you assume it has never been apart before, but I try not to assume anything which is why I mentioned the case itself. Barry or anyone else if you can find the original car it came from it obviously would be for sale, otherwise I'll keep it. I added it to my database, so if the car shows up at some point I'll give you a shout for sure.

Thanks Barry. Can you verify this 23 spline E-body transmission was also from a 1970 'Cuda. I pulled it many years ago from what looked like an original 340 drivetrain in a 1970 'Cuda heading off to the junkyard. Add it to your list but I doubt the car is still around today but you never know.....
