Looking through the pinion angle thread gave me a headache, so I'd like to provide a helpful hint for most of you fine folks. If you hold down the alt/option key and hit the "0" key on your keyboard, you can use the degree character. (At least I can; if you can't then too bad)

See: 4º, there it is...

4º, there it is again... no magic involved.

One more time ...4º

So stop using * instead of º, you look like idiots. laugh2

You're Welcome! biggrin tonguue

Warning: Above post may contain good-natured ribbing, sarcasm and general smart-assery. Don't get your knickers in a knot. It's all in good fun.

Another way to get the degree symbol, is to hold down the ALT key, and type 167.

4, Not here brother! Here Alt/option and 0 key = 4, as just shown.

For me, its 4 + alt 0176 on the right hand numbers pad. 4°

To much Extra work for me, when I can just do, 4*

And , most will/should understand that.

For me 1 Extra poke, VS 5 Extra pokes on the key board.

Not a idiot here, just lazy.

Appreciate your concern and Humor. But, Your Pinion angle ** help stuff isn't helping me. °°°° LOL

But. I will review the other ways that people have been successful at. * vs °

I rolled past your place (generally) Sunday morning on the way out of town. My work is done until the next riot.

Doesn't work for me. Someone else told me the "degree" key was beside the "any" key but I haven't been able to find it.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Try This; Push/hold the Alt key, then type 0176 on the Far right numeral pad, then release. And Wallya °

Adding the 0 to the 176 gives me a funky symbol. ALT and 167 on the keypad works for me.
