Do you guys run a gasket or just the oring or both on the block on a dual line milodon pump. I just put a new pump on and used a superperformance gasket and left the o ring in the pump and it is leaking pretty good.

If memory serves me right i normally just use the o ring and no gaskets and no problems.

I would use either or but not both together. My motor was put together some time ago and used just the o-ring. Next time around I will use just the gasket #1306 (.031" Green HCF material).

When you pull it back apart inspect the o-ring to be sure it was located properly and there are no nicks or tears on it if you decide to go the o-ring route.

I am gonna yank it off tonight.. I will probably go with just gasket cause of the quality of the gasket.. Much better than a stock gasket.

We use both, gasket between block and sandwich plate and o ring between pump and sandwich plate. HTH's. up
Edit: What block is this? Indy block doesn't need the sandwich plate and we just use the o ring.

O-rings only between pump and cover. O-ring only between block and pump if using the Milodon pump. If you use the "sandwich plate" then you use a gasket between the block and plate and another gasket between the plate and pump.

If you read the original question, he's asking if we use a gasket. By giving him the part# I'm telling him I do use a gasket. Pretty simple.

OOPs blush Never done it that way but never had any issues either shruggy Milodon billet pumps #21814, if that makes any difference.
