I'm having a hard time deciding on a tire/wheel combo for my 73 charger, I'm looking for pictures of b body chargers showing tire/wheel combos from as many angles as possible. Please state all data of your combo e.g. 295/50/r15 on 10" wheels. Backspacing would also be helpful.

1973 Dodge Charger SE 400 automatic transmission. Curb weight: 3800 lbs. All stock so far.
Goal: Reliable everday driveable warmed up 400 as close to 400hp as possible, then a 470 stroker if need be.

What size wheels are you interested in using?

What size wheels are you interested in using? Well, my plan was to go with 15" wheels, but i was told i have many more options in 17-18" range and that 15" might disappear. So I'm looking for pictures of any tire/wheel combo on a b-body to get a feel for different looks, as long as it's stated what's on there.

FWIW I wouldn't go over 17" as the larger wheels look dorky on old cars. I draw the line at 18" wheels and tires. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the sidewall height. The short tires don't look correct on the older cars. 245/45-18 is BARE MINIMUM for the front of an old car. A 295/50-18 is a good looking tire but selection is a bit thin. That's why I went to the Nitto NT555. He has a large car with long wheel openings in the rear. It needs a tall tire to fill it out.

rear - 275/15 front 255/15 15x8 wheels lowered stance - Drop spindles front + modded front leaf hanger and 1" lowering blocks rear. NO way this will work without custom offset wheels to fit wheel wells. The owner had to buy 235/15s for the front and move the 255/15 to the rear until buying custom wheels.

Nice pictures, I'm leaning towards something like that. Do you know if the 73 charger has the same amount of space in the wheel wells as yours?

Nice pictures, would you happen to know the backspacing? Also how far does your tires stick out front and rear? Personally I like when they're almost flush with the body.

Every car in this post is great but this car really makes my heart pound like Im 19. Ive always loved the look of (71 Chargers Charger) the TA Radials and classic 15" wheels.
