Been running the NGK BP6ES which is comparable to the old N9Y, anything better and have you seen any advantage either way. Ran N9Y's 35 yrs ago so...,
Been running a 6AL and gap at .045
Thoughts?
Thanks! Bobby

I like NGK's. Ran ZFR5F in my NA motor and R5671A-9 in my blower motor. Don't know about others, but per NGK, they come with a thread coating out of the box for use with aluminum heads. Don't have to coat with anti-seize, etc. I still use a light oil on the threads.

I use 3923's in most. I back cut the ground electrode, set the gap around .035" . As far as durabilty,I pull them every month or 2 , re-gap and sharpen the electrodes, they do wear pretty quickly when making a bunch of passes.
