Can someone tell me the distance between the transmission cooling lines where they go into a 22" 053 radiator?

Best thing to do is order new prebent cooling lines,, They are not that expensive.. If that is what you need..

Just my opinion but...
I find it best to learn how to bend and flare the line.
Very easy and much cheaper.
Not sure what this would have to do with
the space between the lines though.
I'm wondering what the reason for the question would be.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

My car originally came with a 22" 053 radiator when new, but the previous owner changed it out. The transmission cooling lines had a 12" spread for the hookup on the radiator. I ordered a new 22" radiator from U.S. Radiator made for my car. I went to install it and the trans cooling hookup has a 10" spread where the passenger side runs into the harmonic balancer. I called Alex at U.S. Radiator and he says big blocks don't have a 12" spread, only a 10" spread.

Has anyone who bought a U.S. Radiator run into this problem?

Thanx,
That clears up what your doing.
Sorry no help here.
I would have just bent up a new line.
However, I care not if it looks, or is, original.

I had Right Stuff custom bend me a set of lines out of SS which fits right into the radiator. The problem is where the passenger side out of the radiator runs into the harmonic balancer. I'll make it work.

Got ya.
Stainless is another subject.
A little tougher.
I'm sure you have it under control.

Made it over to the garage today....mine is also a radiator from US radiators. Not sure of the number without finding the receipt, but it is in an A-body and the trans lines measure 10 inches center to center. I replaced my cooler lines with prefabbed ones , everything fit OK. Hope this helps. Larry

Yes it helps, thanks. Do you have a fan shroud mounted to your 22" radiator, if so which one?
Thanks guys!

Yes, I do have a fan shroud. Gave up trying to find a used one , and bought a new one from Mancini.
Looked it up, Mancini still sells. Looks like the price has gone up quite a bit since I bought mine. I paid 145, looks like the going price now is 175. It was a good fit, no problems with it. Larry
