Looking for intake (2x4) for a 528 Hemi street driven, 5spd Charger
What is everyoine using ? Choices are Stage V, Indy or MP 2x4 from what I can research

Currently have a singe MP low rise intake as I had to take the singe 4 (Edelbrock/Ray Barton) off due to hood clearance issues.
Want to run Edelbrock 750 cfm carbs as well.

Will be upgrading to a solid roller or a flat tappet cam as well in the low 600" lift range

Does everyone use progressive linkage ?

Am I dreaming if I think this will put me in 750
hp range?

Motor stock is suppose to be 610-650 hp

Thanks Werner

Engine Tech forum. I would run the Stage V intake with dual AVS carbs, that seems to work for everyone that uses them. I prefer progressive linkage. The AFB carbs don`t have air doors that are easily tuneable.

Sheldo the sesign of the stage 5 intake really needs to have 1 to 1 linkage to feed the engine properly , it's 2 single plane plenum with a small pass tube between them , trying to run the engine on 1 carb at low speed wouldn't be very efficent .

But I'll add another vote for the stage 5 unless it's an all out race motor.

I run a stage v on mine. Carbs must be set at 1 to 1 on that manifold. The other choice is the Barton marine manifold. It is a dual plane you can run progressive linkage on and even holley carbs if you want.

I have a new in the box marine manifold that I would sell. PM me if you're interested. Mike

Is the marine manifold a dual plane ?

Yes It also accepts the larger carbs.

I've used the stock Mopar OEM manifolds on many hemi strokers with Eddy 600 and the larger 750 CFM carbs. by drilling the AFB pattern into the Eddy bases The Eddy smog carbs with the electric chokes don't make as much power on the dyno as the Hi Po with mechanical chokes do If you deicde to use the 750 CFM carbs, either sets, you will need to enlarge the front holes on the intake also I used the Eddy progressive linkage on them also One to one linkage works great on them on the street also Your choice, let us know what you do

Thanks for all the info guys. Think it will be Stage V. Will probably get package from Tim @ FHO for this mod. He sell air filter to fit this as well. Just need to find a good cam.

Ray Barton sell a flat tappet mech cam package(cam, springs, retainers lifters etc for $1000) a supposed 100hp increase
Tim at FHO says he would use a mech roller in the 630" range for a streetable hp increase.

Anyoone have any feedback on these 2 choices

I posted here because it said it was race only and Engine Tech

w/ pretty much what everyone has said so far. The Stage V manifold w/ a pair of 750 carbs at 1:1 would be my choice.

Thanks for the offer John but for now I think I'll keep it in case I try it to increase low end torque on my 3800# cuda. The carb spacing is the same as the stage V manifold so the shaker base I have will work with either manifold. Mike
