Some parts like the various hoses, fuel filter, fuel line clamps, etc. are the best/most accurate reproduction parts available, that said, there are some subtle differences as compared to NOS with most of them.

SCOTT!!! WOW! This is EXACTLY what I needed to see! You did my Thermoquad two years ago and it was too pretty to put on my old engine so I'm going through it now. I can only hope my engine comes out as nice as yours!
Thanks for taking the time to post all of those for me!

That's a sexy engine! I can't wait to get mine assembled and painted. Scott, did you purchase date coded spark plug wires or did you stencil your own?
I know I've read that the plastic wire holders were unpainted, but my 1970 Duster 340 wire holders have traces of orange paint on them.

That's really stunning Scott! I am curious, what combination of parts dictated a power steering cooler on an A body? Axle package?

The wires you see in those pics are NOS originals (good luck finding any with good date codes!) The reproductions by Lectric Limited are the best I've seen, not 100% exact, but 98% or so which will make most happy.

Painted wire looms were the norm on blue painted engines (After April or so of 1971 ), but not on orange engines, yes exceptions happened but based on the larger number of unpainted originals I've seen my money would be on that yours have had some touch up paint overspray at some time in the past and are not original, but as I said, it's possible.

Axel package cars should have had a cooler (3.55 or 3.91 gears)

Do you know who sells Electric Limited wires? I did a Google search and didn't find any info?

Is the engine paint from Frank Badalsan? No hardener or primer? The sheen looks dead on to my block.

Yes that is Frank Badelson's paint, right out of the can (thinned as recommended in his instructions) with no additives.

Scott what did you thin it with? I bought it from Frank and didn't get any instructions.

Also Would you suspect that all water pump and timing cover bolts were painted and then backed out and re-attached for A/C components as well?

I don't remember the mix off hand but I added some enamel reducer to thin it up a little, it is pretty thick out of the can. I think you could spray it right out of the can with no issues, it just flows a little better with a bit of reducer added.

On the A/C bolts, I haven't seen a survivor with air to confirm so I can't say. Bolts that pass through the water pump housing were likely painted and reused IF they were long enough to work as retainers for the A/C components, if not new longer bolts would have been installed with the A/C parts.

Troy just did a fairly unmolested 71 A/C 340 auto N95 car. He may have pics and remember to corroborate other findings.

On A-bodies the slotted stye is all I've seen, B-E body cars I've seen had the solid pulley. I'm not sure how much if any cross over there was.

I don't recall that car, are you sure the pump was original? Did it have a cooler? Do you have any pics?
