On a 1970 318 engine, can the oil pan be turned around on the engine? I want to make it a rear sump. Is there an OEM rear pickup that will screw into my oil pump?
Your gonna need the rear sump pan and pick up

'73 and up truck pans are rear sump, not sure about the earlier ones, I know some were front sump.
Truck pans hold an extra quart too.

No, different size front and rear cutouts where the seals are.
And the rear cutout is a different size than the 360.

Flipping the front sump pan around will not work, you need a rear sump (pickup truck style) pan and pickup. Very common. Good luck!
