I have always wanted to do one of those trucks up as a maximum "over-the-road" style truck, meaning, making it as quiet, comfortable, and nice for ubber-long road trips/etc. Maybe swapping to a 4 speed auto (that gen came w/ 3 speeds right?) as well... To me it'd work better as a crew-cab, but aside from looking rough, you've got a decent truck to work with as it is...so it's simply personal preference/money that dictates the decision to me. I do really like that black one above

If you weren't so fat away Id be interested in the cab if you decide to use the retrain elsewhere
I will be parting out a lot of it, but first I want to use it to haul the C500 home. After that I'll be selling off what I don't need.
It'll be a month or two before I can drag the C500 home. In the meantime I'm going to get all of the mechanicals fixed up so everything is roadworthy.
Go figure... "rat rod it" got the fewest votes, and that's what I've decided to do. Should make an interesting tow piece!

Put a 70s body on it!! : )
That truck looks great, Jimbob!
As for this one, I'm putting the 1963 C500 body on it. I want it to look similar to the green / white one in the pic, but I plan on leaving the paint as-is if possible, just a few touch ups, a light scuff, and some satin clear.
I'm not going to put a utility bed on it like the one in the pic. I want a long stepside bed painted/ aged to match the cab with big fenders on it, so I'll have to come up with something. I'd rather leave the wheelbase right where it is for a better ride and towing, so it'll be a loooong bed. I want mine to have a little more forward rake as well, but the tire / wheel combo should take care of that.

So you're the one who bought that one! I wanted it bad, but timing wasn't right.
