Hey gang..
I was wondering if there's a technique that's used to reduce the "Bump" of the vinyl top seam. I'm putting on the windshield trim and have notice that the upper corner is being difficult due to the vinyl trim... Do you "help" thin out the seam so there isn't so much of an obstruction to the curve of the trim. Everything else seems to be perfect on all the other parts of the moulding top and bottom.

Thanks..

I took a hammer and blunt punch to mine to pound it just a little flatter--made a difference.

You can trim the top layer away too. Just make sure you do it low enough so you don't see it.

Thanks guys.. Did exactly that and it worked.... Now, does anyone know if there's a screw kit that includes the proper fasteners for the bottom windshield trim plate?

Dang Bill... You have everything..... Guess I'll order these and pay for the brake bracket too.. But, I think there might be other stuff I'll need to get as I go along this process.... Headliner c-clips for the outside edge/pinch, got 'em?

only because of the pic you posted but the plastic grilles that cover the wiper areas on the cowl had little hex self tapping screws in 1970 and 1971 had phillips head screws-can someone confirm this?
all the best
frank

Nope

This kit is everything needed to attach the lower windshield stainless trim and both wiper pivots.

Cowl vent plastic grilles on my old 1970 Challenger used pan head phillips screws, 71's I have hard were hex head screws with a shoulder under the head
