With a cam like that i would think you'd need a higher flash stall, like somewhere around 4800. That 3800 is most likely your 60ft. issues, At 3300 lbs. & a combo like that you should be running 6.8-6.9s 1/8 mile, just to give you an example, there is a member on here with a 71 Swinger, its race weight is just below 3300 lbs., He is running a "junkyard" 360 magnum with EQ heads & a bone stock bottom end, 9.5.1, a smaller cam, around a 4200 stall, 4.10 gears & a 750dp & runs 7.4s.

What was you MPH in the 1/8?
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

More gear 4.30s or 4.56s. Shift higher around 7000.

4.30 with 30 in tires ? or stay with 28.....?
I'd stay with the 3.91s and a 28" tire. Most strokers don't need much gear. If it were mine I wouldn't do anything gear and tire wise until the engine and chassis was tuned. That car should run in the mid 6s in the 1/8.

My 408 combo was close to that(you have 5* dur. more cam and a little more porting) was running 6.60s at 3300lbs with low 1.40s 60' I can tell you mine liked 6700rpm shift points. I ran a 9.5" converter 4600 stall, and 4.10 or 4.30 gears. I would suggest that you try 6600 shifts, then go up 200 at a time tell it does not improve my Also with the lowgear watchout for bumping the rev limiter in 1st gear {its easy to do)

Keep what gears/tires you have now, I'd look into a higher stall & get to tuning it.

My stroker(421) went 9.90s with 4.56s and 295/65/15(29in)hoosier drag radials. Tried 4.30s and it fell off.
How much compression and cam?

12 to 1 compression custom ground comp roller for nitrous 260/272 if I remember correctly. Had three different cams in that motor. And those passes were on motor with 9 1/2 dynamic conv tight for spray 3900-4000 stall.
Well I looked and memory was a little off, 272/284 ,110 lobe separation, and 660/661 gross lift.
