Eric...A few years ago when I worked on rebuilding ambulances,we used to replace the vacuum pump in the patient compartment. They would toss em to the garbage. They were 12 volt and probably were around 6-8 pounds and ran off of 12 volts. I don't know how many amps they pulled. Always thought about trying one of those..Also,there wasn't any disgusting stuff in them..
