Dougs are the best bang for the buck.. Same quality of TTI but $300+ less.

What exaxctly does a set of Dougs give you that a set of Hookers don't?

Not much to go on, but I get the feeling the OP doesn't need, nor wants to pay for, premium priced headers. Even though they're not as stupid $$$ as TTI's, Dougs aren't cheap. If its a street car with a mildly hopped up 383, the best bang for buck is going to be the Summit brand (now avail. With a ceramic coating). For a 383, a 1-3/4" tube size is perfect.

If bigger and longer tubes are desired for more of a street/strip type of effort, A set of Hooker comps is nearly impossible to beat dollar for dollar.

Whatever you do, stay away from the used set. You'll be buying headers again in a couple of years. (Don't ask how I know)
