What Cuudak said is spot on, also...........you still haven't mentioned if you are using single stage or base/clear? Two completely different animals........with single stage, you apply the paint (as suggested by Cuudak) being very consistant, then I usually dust a coat over the hood/trunk RIGHT after the last coat to even out the metallic. The sides too, depending on how they look. With base coat.........well, base coat is so easy you can almost apply it while watching TV, just dust the final color coats then check for mottling. If you have a gun that you are used to use it, if not get a more modern one. They shoot better. Just my
