I have seen this philosophy end badly. Poor guy had a beautiful 66 Chevy II that he had just finished and put a TON of money into. Time trials ......... he got out of the groove and into the marbles. Over the wall and onto the roof the hard way. Even though I felt bad for the guy , the first words out of my filthy sewer were " he should'a lifted." My better half did all the driving back then because she could beat up on a tree like nobody's business. Talk about guys cussing ........ when she put some of them on the trailer , they were beyond livid. I always told her " nevermind what's happening in the other lane ..... run our car." It seemed to work pretty well.
