Don't waste your $ on the 252; I was looking around; compare the specs to a STOCK 360-2 bbl (or only 360 cam, in the 80s truck) cam; other than being 0.015" less lift at the valve (big whup, with your intended use) that cam is dang near identical to the 252. I bought a 360 stock replacement cam for the 318 in my 3/4 ton truck; for $76 vs $145 that 0.015 means nothing. and yes it did make a difference in how my truck runs, hauls, tows.
It is an improvement over the OE 318 cam for sure, but with the 252 all you pay for is the name...... COMP! Duration overlap etc., are dang near identical from what I saw listed for the 252.

advertised duration is similar, but if you look at some of the other timing events, it's not. IIRC a stock 360 cam is ~190-195 degrees duration at .050, or 10-15 degrees smaller than the 252. I bet .2" duration is even greater of a difference.
