Far as base gasket setup goes I prefer to run the thick 3/16"-1/4" gasket sandwiched between the two thin gaskets. Good added insulation from heat soak and no vacuum leaks with this setup.

Using a TQ carb is definitely a love/hate relationship. At the moment I'm in love with mine but that could change any time.

Actually I've run one for about 4 years now and it runs great on my 340 combo. Bought the rebuilt carb off of Ebay and tweaked it for my combo with big squirters and secondary jets.
