 ......on any of the gear drives I've done, including the BB Chrysler,....leaving the slinger off is prefered, as more oil will climb onto the gears, which you want,...or you'll be replacing that drive after a few thousand miles,....do replace the front seal with a new quality seal,......gear drives are cool, when set up properly!
