Instead of competition between several companies for the best parts now they have to worry about the imitators stealing their sales. Instead of making the best parts, and letting the price fall where it may, now they are under pressure to cut corners to keep their prices competitive with the guys who are selling fake parts.

The "cheap parts are great" racers have their priorities not quite right. Chinese motor parts because that is all they can afford, so they say, and yet they have a newer diesel pickup, enclosed trailer, golf cart or atv pit vehicle, etc. Somewhere in the middle of buying all that other stuff to go racing they couldn't find a few extra $$$ to buy non-China made parts? Ok.
