Check out the pic below. The red arrows point to dents. Just a little ding up top, and a bit bigger at the bottom. The blue arrow is Not a dented area. It appears a lighter color because I wiped the dust off that sheetmetal dimple before taking the pic. (car is dusty, has been sitting) I believe that dimple is used on California cars for holding the emissions line from the valve cover breather to the rear of the car. I do know what you're talking about though. This is not the mid 71 & up inner fender with the "dent" there for the same purpose.

This car is an early build 1970 Challenger, SPD August 26th 1969.
