Tav, do you know what an original 70 only E Body water valve looks like? I have been looking for one for years, and I probably wouldn't know what it looked like if I saw it unless it was NOS in the box!

Hi Dwight, Thanks for helping!!
From what I've gathered the valves pretty much all look the same on 70-74 E bodies. The part # changed several times through the years, but I've never heard of anyone finding any differences between the valves except for the brackets and also the screws that hold the valve to the bracket.

This car I'm doing now isn't going to be a date coded/matching part #s/replated black phosphate bolt type resto. For it, I picked up this NOS valve off Ebay. (pic below) It appears to be the right part for the job. It came with 2 brackets (some come with 3), neither of them are the correct E body bracket, so I ordered an E body bracket from Bill Rolik.

Here are some links to previous threads on this same topic. Unfortunately none of them contain measurements for me. The top link has a pic of Dave Waldens OE Gold 1970 water valve. (he's the only car to score 100% on air conditioning)
