I'm following this as well. I'm running Comp retrofit lifters in my big block and while I could stand the noise at first, now it's just grating. To the point I'd be willing to drop $1k on new lifters to shut it up if that is an option.
A friend had this problem in his 440 Dart. He asked what I was using and ended up buy a set of Howards hydraulic rollers. Replaced the Comp's and everything was fine. Comp's are hot garbage!
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
