I remember 20 years ago suggesting to Tom Cannon and others in FAST 20 yrs ago that I thought a 71-72 340 TQ duster or demon would be a faster combo than a 70 Challenger six pack and might rival a hemi E or B body in terms of 60' and 1/8th mile times.

I don't know if anyone remembers but I had actually bought a 72 duster Twister /6 car and a 340 and 904 with the hopes of building a 433" FAST car. but work sent me overseas for months so I sold the project.

But I'm so glad someone else came through and Proved my prediction correct!! LOL

congratulations!!, I don't know everything they are doing but I'll bet I have a pretty good guess!

But I had figured out the cam 'secrets' a long time ago anyway, before some of them did!

But the short front and long rear overhang and the light weight of the Duster make it the most natural Mopar Drag car there is, and the roofline is more aerodynamic than a Dart or 67-69 cuda body.

10.30's on 14" tires and factory castings....That's truly astounding!!

I was thinking you could get a 71-72 duster to about a 2700-ish legit pounds and still pass FAST tech.

BTW who did he run in the other lane that went 118 in the 1/8th and "only" 123.xx in the 1/4? Did he run out of nitrous 1/2 way down the track? haha (I'm just kidding!)

Judging by ythe 1/8th mile that was a 9 second car so probably DD, 118 in the 1/8th would be way too slow to be a Pennington car! stirthepot
