Yes, no detent for first just second. You’ll be grinding off the second step, down from the drive spot. I smacked the lever down when going to second, pull for third. One thing else, the engine will have to be tied down so it doesn’t torque up, that will mess with linkage adjustment. No problem feeling when in goes in first gear. I thought of welding a little knob before the reverse notch but after running a few times never had a problem going from 3 back to N as long as I pushed down and up on lever. 11.6 second Duster
