I did one on a Duster, reverse VB, ground the detent so it’s flat from original neutral to second, pull into first (drive spot) pull down to second, pull toward you and down for third. Worked slick as a whistle. Really just smack the lever down for second. I still have the detent piece so could show pictures.
I don't have a picture but this is how mine was done, have a reverse manual valve body in my Fury and it's straight down from 1(old D) to 2nd, then pull back and down for 3rd. It took me a few tries on the street to learn how to not go from 1st right to 3rd, now I make sure I'm pushing forward slightly on the 1-2.
